    Alexander 'Greek' Thomson. – Alexander Thomson was one of the two great architects of international stature produced by Victorian Glasgow. Thomson was born in Balfron, Stirlingshire, on 9th April and died in Glasgow on 22nd March at his home at no.1 Moray Place in the terrace he had himself designed. The Septuagint is a translation of the Hebrew Bible and some related texts into Koine Greek. As the primary Greek translation of the Old Testament, it is also called the Greek Old translation is quoted in the New Testament, particularly by Paul, and also by the Greek Church Fathers.
